About Us
A small house working with Jingdezhen's kilns.
We work directly with a handful of makers in Jingdezhen, China — the porcelain capital since 1004 AD — to make tea ware that feels quiet, considered, and built to last.
Why porcelain, why Jingdezhen
Jingdezhen has been making porcelain for over a thousand years. The kilns here fired the blue and white that traveled the Silk Road, the Ru ware that scholars wrote about, and the thin-walled gaiwans that still define tea culture across East Asia. The clay, the water, and the hands are all here.
We started LLC craft because we wanted tea ware that didn't choose between craft and daily use. Not museum replicas behind glass. Not mass-produced ceramics from a catalog. Something in between — pieces made by named makers, in small batches, that you can actually brew with every day.
Every piece we sell is hand-thrown or hand-finished, glazed and fired in Jingdezhen, and packed by hand before it leaves the studio. We don't do white-label. We don't dropship. We know who made each piece and which kiln it came out of.
Named makers, not factories
Each piece is signed by the person who made it. We work with a small group of makers — some third-generation potters, some younger glaze specialists — and we visit the studios every few weeks.
When you buy a gaiwan or a cup, you can find the maker's mark on the base. It's a small thing, but it means someone is accountable for what they made.
What we care about
Three principles that shape every piece we choose to sell.
Made to last
High-fired porcelain, properly glazed and finished. Pieces that survive daily use, not just display.
Direct from makers
No middlemen, no white-label. We know who made each piece and what they were paid for it.
