Frequently Asked Questions
Answers about shipping, returns, porcelain care, and payment.
How much does shipping cost?
We charge a $35 flat rate worldwide via DHL Express, fully insured. This covers any number of pieces in a single order.
How long does delivery take?
Orders dispatch within 2 business days from Jingdezhen. DHL Express transit is typically 7–14 business days to most destinations worldwide.
Will I get a tracking number?
Yes. You will receive an email with a DHL tracking number as soon as your parcel leaves our studio.
Do I have to pay import duties or taxes?
Import duties and customs fees are not included in the product price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility and are assessed by your country's customs authority.
What is your return policy?
You may return any unused piece within 14 days of delivery for a full refund — no questions asked. The piece must be in its original condition and packaging.
What if my piece arrives broken?
Email hello@llccraft.com within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the damaged item and packaging. We offer a full refund, replacement, or store credit — your choice. No return shipping required for damaged pieces.
Who pays for return shipping?
For defective or damaged items, LLC craft covers return shipping. For change-of-mind returns, return shipping is the buyer's responsibility.
When will I get my refund?
Refunds are processed within 5 business days of receiving the returned item.
Why does my piece look different from the photo?
Each piece is hand-thrown and hand-glazed. Natural variations in glaze color, crackle patterns, and dimensions (3–8%) are expected and are part of the character of handmade porcelain, not defects.
Is the porcelain food-safe?
Yes. All pieces are tested food-safe per FDA standards. Glazes are lead-free and cadmium-free.
How do I care for my porcelain?
Hand wash with mild detergent and a soft cloth. Avoid sudden temperature changes (e.g., pouring boiling water into a cold cup). Pieces are generally microwave-safe, but we recommend hand-washing to preserve the glaze.
What is crackle glaze and will it change over time?
Crackle (开片) is a deliberate network of fine lines in the glaze created during cooling. It is a traditional feature of certain glazes like Ru ware. Over time, tea staining may accentuate the crackle pattern — this is considered desirable and part of the piece's character.
What does the maker's mark mean?
Each piece is signed by the maker on the base. The mark identifies the artisan who threw and finished the piece. You can learn about our makers on the About page.
Do I need to create an account to order?
No. You can check out as a guest. Creating an account lets you track orders, save addresses, and subscribe to the Journal letter.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept PayPal, and major credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) via Airwallex. All transactions are SSL-encrypted.
Is my payment information secure?
Yes. All payments are processed by PCI-DSS compliant providers (PayPal and Airwallex). We never see or store your full card number.
What currency are prices in?
All prices are in US Dollars (USD).
